Drawing

I found an image of Mickey mouse on the internet and it looked like a lot f fun to draw. I love disney movies, I have about every classic disney movie on vhs at my house in Portland. Mickey is inspiring to young kids and even older kids still look up to Mickey Mouse. I love him.

Random

I took this picture on the railroad tracks last week. I was walking down a path and wanted to take some pictures so I looked both ways of course :) and then squated down giving the appearance that the tracks go on and on. I like it becuase the background is kind of blurry so that the main focus is on the tracks.

Looking Down

I took this picture from an airplane on my way to Texas. Its such a beautiful sight being able to look down on the clouds, instead of the typical view. I enjoy looking at something that isnt an ordinary sight.

Poster

For the Poster I chose the movie my super ex girlfriend. I didnt really have a specific reason for choosing this movie, Iwas just looking for a main character that was blonde, so when I added my face in it looked some what natural. I took the piture and photoshoped my face over the main charater. Then I just added text to show what movie it was.

Collage

Here's a little boy going down a hill of sharp rocks with a balloon. Mommy and Daddy have somehow gotten in the balloon and are scared for their lives. I had no idea what my collage would turn out to be, I was just simply browsing the internet fr photgraphs and somehow this popped int my head. This is 3 pictures, the rock that are blurred down a little bit, the boy with a baloon and then the two people scared together.

Portrait

This is my best friend Emily, a car drove down the road in the background and she was watching it when I snapped the photo. I took the same picture and darkened the background while then erasing emily from the dark picture to bring all of the attention to her.

Random

I wish this picture was a little more focused. I took this picture from the ground looking up at the underneath side of the flower and looking at the sky. Since the sun was so bright I got a big sun spot, but I still like this photo a lot. Its different.

Portrait

This guy was sitting in the lawn playing his guitar. Not a person within 30 yards of him. Playing his music to himself and looked at me right before I went to take the picture. I was very far away so it's not all the way in focus when it is enlarged, and it's alittle bit too dark for my likings.. but I like the idea more than anything. It was fun to watch people and see who was different to get a portrait of.

Random Pictures:)

http://danielkuehlwein.exposuremanager.com/

My dad is a photographer and enjoys taking pictures. Whether he's at a park or at a sports game he will always have his camera. I like these pictures because they are leading you to an unknown. The bridge doesn't have an ending, who knows what's on the other side. I really like the appearance of a continuum.
The picture of a dear crossing a pass looks like he has a destination, but it is covered by branches and wildlife.

Hue and Saturation

I took an old photo and played with the hue and saturation. I selected squares within the photo and practiced the technique we learned in class on Monday. It looks pretty cool if you ask me:)

Alphabet Soup

I felt so weird looking everywhere trying to find letters. Taking pictures of very random things becuase it looks like the alphabet. It was very entertaining and made me keep my eyes open to everything even if I thought it had no meaning. I even had my friends looking with me too, it was a lot of fun and pretty much anything can be seen as a shape or a letter so it was fun using my imagination.

Alphabet Soup

I love playing on the computer with shapes and letters reating pictures. My problem is I get something set in my mind and Im not open to just putting letters on a page and seeing if it turns into a shape or an object. I made a couple letters than I had a person set into my head, so I turned him into a person.

Awkward Tree

This photo is interesting because the eye thinks that the rectangle will be continuous because typically trees continue upward. When the tree is split it is a little confusing. Adding triangle shapes into a rectangular object creates excitement. Also the contrast between the dark background and the lighter color tree makes the tree be the center of attention.

Crushed by gigantic soccer ball

This picture is very interesting in a way that is not realistic. A soccer ball crushing a car? This photograph has a large circle which draws attention to the photograph. There's rectangles and triangles that take up the background space. The colors also seperate where the eye looks. The soccer ball is red where the car is black. The eye automatically looks toward the soccer ball because it is large and red.

Monsters! - Scratch

Using shapes and liquifying them t look like little monsters. It was interesting the difference the colors made. I had then both the same color and it didnt look right and then when I played around with the color of the eyes and the body they became individuals. and then I thought of them as best friends so I wrote that in text =]

Scratch 1

Im not really sure what this is or if it's supposed to be anything, but some people see an eagle, I'm not really sure. It was just shaped and paint tools messing around t hopefully creat something fun and interesting.
